Goodman Residence. Columbus, MT. - The main desire of the client is to have a home that uses less electricity than a 100 watt light bulb. The project will be a pilot project in the LEED-Homes; we are striving for gold certification. Design principles will include: passive & active solar, geothermal, xeriscaping/ native landscaping, structural insulated panels (SIPs), diversion of waste, low flow toilets and sinks, graywater systems, rainwater collection system, use of recycled materials, and low-VOC paints.
