Liberty Place is a non-profit organization working with brain injury survivors. The founders desired a special place where people could come to once again enjoy a life filled with purpose and meaning. After the hearing this vision, architect Vanessa Vanbeusekom, knew she wanted to be involved. The site is 18 acres in a valley, subject to strong winds, surrounded with spectacular mountain views in rural Montana. The property was originally a farm with a rustic, dirt road lined with old willow trees. The farm had a warm feel; it was the inspiration for the project. Working with Courtney Walton, they created a concept to design healing gardens for the residents that enhanced the renewal process. |
